Arizona. How does the girl from the New England woods end up in a desert?
I lost my job in November, and all of a sudden had an aggressive amount of free time on my hands. The kind of free time you day dream about when you have a full time job. It came too quick though. I was frozen with overwhelment. I thought…I must sit everyday now, and figure out my life. Push it forward, make it happen, was my mindset. I was rowing up the river, and not down, against the path of least resistance.
My cousin was heading to Arizona with an open ended ticket and asked me to go. After many excuses, I let the oars go. I was to meet him in Phoenix, and we would camp across Arizona.
I sat in the passengers seat as we put thousands of miles on the Explorer. We had no plan, and that goes against my controlling tendencies. Here is the trip…
Phoenix to Petrified National Forest to Sedona, back to Phoenix.
Here are the photos…
Very nice pics Coll!!!
Nice Coll I Love it. I was making a map but stopped. I’ll have to do it still. It makes the story come more alive /3D. I WANNA See More pics BTW!!! 😄 LoL Talk to you later
-Thanks, Jay
Thanks Jay!!!! I always do a map because I always forget! And I like to see it on a larger scale.
Great work as usual Colleen! I’m so glad you “let go of the oars”. Hopefully that will get easier over time. Downstream is always best. In the end I think we don’t control our journey so much but we choose how we react to where it takes us.
And what’s up with you and birds? Almost always the bird shots are the standouts?
Thanks Greg! Yes…I have to follow the path of least resistance now. 🙂 Thank you for the kind words always! Me and the birds have a special connection! Take care
